Don't know if I should be worried

Hi All 👋
Just hoping for some perspective/similar stories. I suffered quite badly with postpartum anxiety after my last baby, this mainly presented as health anxiety. For the most part I have gotten it under control and don't panic to the extent I use to.
However, about a month ago we all came down with whatever virus my DD brought home from school. It was long lived and I don't think we have all fully kicked it yet. Mine went to my sinuses, I did the usual rinces and hayfever spray but I had a low grade fever, headache, pressure and tinnitus so after about 10days GP put me on ABs. These helped but I think it may have been viral as have some lingered symptoms.
I finished the ABs last Friday. Last night I started getting a burning urge to pee. Thought it was the start of a UTI so started drinking water and cranberry juice to flush it out. By 11pm I had blood in my pee so made an OOO appointment and he gave me Nitrofurantoin for a week. To be honest I don't know if a week overkill as I did a dip this morning and after two doses blood and protein are gone. I should mention I was away with DH for a night this weekend which hasn't happened in months so maybe that caused the UTI.
Now my anxiety is creeping in because I'm thinking I've never in my life had pretty much back to back ABs and for 2 different infections. I'm thinking is there something seriously wrong with me.

I think you have answered your own question.

You recognise you suffer from health anxiety and you’ll know it’s something that ican at times be better and at others, get worse.

Again, you’ve explained. That being away with your DH is likely to have caused this potential UTI. Always make sure and pee after those times- that’s the only way to keep them away in future.

It might not be UTI but irritation that will heal in a few days.

But the main issue is your health anxiety is flaring up. You need to work on what helps you during this time.
Having a virus/ UTI is extremely common and even back to back. So try and keep that in perspective when you’re having these worrying thoughts.
