Have recently posted re: glandular fever (in recovery at the mo), and gall bladder (been hurting all weekend and still not up to eating much, u/sound later this week)... and now to cap it off, I have a period like I've never had before. Started yesterday, but today have had to change every hour (super+), and it's getting worse.

I know I'm really luckyk not to have had this kind of thing my whole life, but can someone reassure me that it's normal for someone somewhere, I am finally very tearful having maintain a jokey humour about everything else this year (immigrating etc)...

I'm not laughing now.

So, bright red blood trickling faster than superplus can cope with - normal to someone, somewhere?

Cheers

J

I have no experience of this but I'm posting because it sounds worrying to me. I have heavy periods but not like that. If it carries on could you see gp or call nhs 24 just to check?

Sorry, not helped have I...

Jackaroo · 31/03/2008 10:02

No, that's OK, I would call NHS but I'm nto in the UK (hence up at this hour!)...

this is probably tmi but occasionally use 2 tampons at the same time to cope wiht heavy days.

fifitinkerbell · 31/03/2008 15:16

Glad that you are getting some where keep us posted on your u/sound. glad bleeding has slowed down thats a blessing in its self.

will be thinking of you.xx

Jackaroo · 01/04/2008 05:40

Not TMI, mummydoc, useful to know; might be useful if this is my new normal cycle...

So, I don't think they left any stone left unturned (arf arf), but nothing to show for it. Still nausea, pain, exhausted, but going to bed now. At least it rules out anything interesting.

Thanks again, nice to have a sounding board...esp. when feeling so sorry for myself and homesick...
