GERD/ulcer? Help?

I've been getting chest pain on and off for a few months. Since Friday it's been quite bad, I also feel very full after eating not a huge amount (and for hours after), feel nauseous and like I have a lump or liquid in my throat.
I've got myself worried about stomach cancer or something - could this simply be GERD, an ulcer or something?

You definitely need to get it checked out - it could be lots of things.. I have gallstones / ulcers and hiatus hernia and those give me problems like that..

Hi
You are like me, putting it off

Therefore, book a gp visit tomorrow and see GP

Mostly likley its something of nothing easily sorted but please see gp and try not to understate etc. Possibly write down when it started, when it happens ie before or after food and does eating make it better or worse - does having bowel movement help etc

does it happen sat down, standing up, laying down etc

Most likely no big deal but you need to get it checked

Good luck

Great, cheers for the update.
As I've said as well as others, most of the time its something of nothing and easily resolved

Good luck

He said it could be acid related so is putting some tablets through, but said it could also be a number of other things so to give them a week and if they don't help or I feel worse to go back for some tests? I'm so worried about it now

Tablets take more than a week to work but you should start to note a difference within a day or two.

It's only human to worry and some worry more than others.

IMO, todays Monday, and if there is no difference by Thursday, make another appointment rather than wait until next week.

Dont worry about being possibly fobbed off etc, just tell them, "its made no difference whatsoever."

There is a good chance meds may work

Please update if you are able in a few days

Have you got and taken the tablets?

Good luck

It could be GORD but the pills don’t always work so that’s not the best indicator. Push for an endoscopy with this symptoms
