Any haematology experts on here?

I appreciate any health care professionals won’t be able to offer specific advice and a haematology referral has been made by the gp.

However, in the mean time I am looking for some answers/hope on my husbands blood test results.

He was completely fit and active with normal blood test results until a sudden heart attack a year ago due to a cholesterol blockage (aged early 40s) Stent placed and minimal heart damage fortunately. He’s been feeling good and living a normal life.

However , ever since then his blood counts have been slightly elevated.
haemoglobin - 178 on last test
haemocrit - 0.55

It has been a similar picture for the last year. I’m hoping that there is hope that it could either be related to his heart attack or something benign. I’m obsessing over p Vera as we really have sadly had a lot to overcome after the shock of the heart attack and could do with moving on health wise!
