Wart on finger

Need some ideas.
I have a wart right on the end of my index finger, under the overhang of my nail as it were, which will not succumb to anything I do to it. Normally I would just ignore it, but the place it is in is problematic for my work.
Have tried the Bazuka route as I have had success with that in the past, but it gets rubbed off too quickly I think, and so doesn't have a chance to do its thing. I have also been trying to use the freezing options, and have used an entire can of Wartners, and am now on Scholls verruca version, but it never seems to get rid of it completely, and the process is very painful.

Doesn anyone know if the gp version of freezing is better?
Or have any other suggestions that might be worth trying given that keeping duct tape attached for weeks would be difficult and pretty impossible to work with (need finger tips ..).

warts are very similiar to verrucas so garlic should work. dd had four (Painful) verrucas for almost a year had appointment with podiatrist (used bazuka no effect at all) she recommended putting on a drop of garlic oil. basically getting fresh garlic crushing it to get some oil and dropping that on. verrucas all gone in one week! remember someone mentioning it worked for warts but have never tried it. apparently the way it works is that the garlic irritates the skin and the bodys immune system kicks in and gets rid of the wart/verruca. hth
