Does this sound like a trapped nerve?

On Monday night I started feeling a weird sensation when I stood up from sitting on the floor. I can't really explain it other than a *zapping (but not painful) sensation but I can't pin point exactly where in my body I'm feeling it I know that sounds daft. The following night I noticed it again when I was getting undressed and I figured out it would happen if I touched around my shoulder.

Since then it's started happening more frequently if I move a certain way or lean on that arm. I've also been getting pins and needles right down to my finger tip. Last night I realised the reason I started off feeling it when I stood up is because I use that arm to support myself to push up off the ground so it makes sense now why I was feeling it just from getting up.

I don't have any pain other than the odd mild twinge near my neck and shoulder and from what I've read nerve damage is painful so I'm a bit confused what's causing this feeling. I'm glad I'm not in any pain but it's happening so frequently now it's getting annoying and I'm back at work on Monday to a heavy lifting active job and I'm a bit worried if it is something like a trapped nerve I'll end up making it worse and having to take time off work. I don't want to bother the GP as I've had a text message from the surgery every morning this week due to staff shortage they are only seeing patients for emergencies.

I also admit I have a bit of health or anxiety and over think a lot of symptoms but I'm managing not to get myself worked up about this although I did have a wobble last night with the pins and needles down my arm and fingers!!

*The zapping sensation I'm feeling is really hard to describe. It takes me by surprise every time and I feel it through various parts of my body. It makes my head feel a bit funny like a dizzy feeling but it only lasts a split second.
