strange period help

I had a 5 weekish miscarriage in February, Doctor told me it was just a late period and not to worry about it. I'm just having my first period since - is very strange, much heavier than normal and has lasted about 8 days so far - (2 longer than normal) and showing not much sign of letting up! I know i am not having another miscarriage - so is this something more sinister? Help please!

Probably just you system sort it's self out but ring your GP on Monday and make an appointment to rule out other things such as an infection.

Doesn't sound abnormal to me, often the first period after a miscarriage is a bit different to usual as the womb lining has been much thicker.

If you have any smelly discharge or are passing any clots or blobs of jelly-like substance, it would be wise to see your GP.
