Testing for Low Estroegen

Is it a specific blood test you need or would any blood test show it up.

I think it is low FSH which are the hormones that can sometimes show you may be in menopause. It doesn't always show though and isn't a definitive way to see (there isn't one yet - thanks lack of female research) - so you can do this and list any symptoms. I think if you are under 40 and have low FSH they will agree you are likely in meno or peri.

I was at my gp in Feb to discuss potential peri and asked for full bloods to be done and it was low fsh that showed up.
I think your gp would need to request what the bloods are tested for at the lab
