This happened two weeks ago. Stepped on an upturned plug causing intense pain.
Saw the GP two weeks ago who examined the toe, didn't seem at all concerned, and told me the signs to look out for if it got infected.

As the blood blister is under a hard callus on the big toe, I just wondered how long it would take to heal.
It does seem to be gradually going smaller, and no longer in any pain.
Unsure whether to file the callus or if that is likely to cause infection?
The blood appears to be trapped under layers of hard skin.

You need a podiatrist. Private, if Dr won't refer you
