Mouth ulcers

I stopped using toothpaste with SLS years ago and almost totally got rid of my mouth ulcers that until then had been a very regular thing.

Today I have one by the corner of my mouth right side and I can feel 2 above my top front tooth and see a 4th when I pill down my lower lip.

Sore and irritated. I have never found bonjella a help it stings and burns tastes horrid and doesn't aid in healing for me. Nor have any other brands of this helped

Salt water hurts like crazy as a child my mother used a diluted % of hydrogen peroxide but I just recall this feeling odd and tasting weird.

What can I do to make this ok. Also why have I suddenly got them? I was fine when I drove to work this morning.

Dog had just curled up with me can confirm this does help a bit. 😀

You are probably just tired and run down. If your ulcer continues for over three weeks get it checked out! Am not going to elaborate but the worst case scenario is happening to a friend. She left it for a few months..no dentist to monitor/ flag up because NHS dentists don’t exist these days!!!

Have you been eating bananas? They - or rather the pesticides they're sprayed with – can cause mouth ulcers, especially in people susceptible to ulcers from SLS.

Also a sign of being run down. Do you need some multivitamins, sunlight and early nights?

Have you tried gargling with very diluted tcp, or dabbing neat tcp on the ulcers?

Try swilling dispersible asprin. I pop two in a small glass of water, stir with a spoon until dissolved, then I take a smallish sip, swill round mouth, I hold it for a while trying to bathe ulcer(s), spit out and repeat until the glass is finished.

I also gargle with it too.

I’ve also found taking a pain killer helps me but I have quite a specific autoimmune disease so not sure if it would work for others.

No bananas. Will try both the tcp and the aspirin

I likely am run down I suffer from SAD and I often find this time of year the hardest when the sun is almost returning. Dh has been suffering from neck pain for a few days so I've been doing the bigger load.

I am aware re them lasting a long time. I have a really good dentist so will go if it gets into a few weeks.

Woke this morning with a 5th brewing on the other corner of my mouth so will be a fun day today. At least work is on my easier site.
