Kidney issues???

So I had an ultrasound because my eGFR has gone from 62 to 55 in three months
and Dr was ticking boxes (her words!)
The scan has showed a small left kidney with an irregular outline and a quarter thickness of 10mm and length of only 8.7mm.

I only know this because I’ve looked at my records on NHS App. Doctor has written to consultant to ‘pick his brains’
Urine dip test is normal. Blood pressure everso slightly high. 62y female
Ive been googling and can’t really find any answers. Yes, I know I shouldn’t but my Doctors is notoriously bad at getting back with info, everything is done by text!
Should I be concerned? I’m not overly worried but I like to have as much info as possible
tia for any help and advice

Not really much help as it could be anything in your case, but my eGFR fell from the 90s to the 70s in a matter of months and my GP wasn't concerned at all (they basically said to me we don't care until it goes below 60) but before I got to that point I ended up in hospital with what was eventually found to be a PUJ obstruction which is where the ureter is blocked and urine backs up in the kidney. I ended up with a serious kidney infection and it took a while for them to diagnose the obstruction as the swelling on the CT scan looked like a large cyst but when I was opened up there was no cyst. My eGFR is now low 60s and only have 20% function in the damaged kidney. I didn't have any symptoms until I got an infection. My advice would be to sit tight and not to worry too much as I'm sure they will get to the bottom of it - kidneys are so complex it honestly could be a lot of different things. I hope you get some answers soon x
