Tinnitus?

I don't know if it is tinnitus as its not a ringing noise i hear. Its more of a throbbing noise I hear, almost like its in rhythm to my heartbeat and only hear it when I lie down. Has anyone else experienced this?

That’s Pulsatile Tinnitus. There is sometimes a medical reason I am sure it’s to do with blood flow. Unlike regular Tinnitus, Pulsatile Tinnitus can be cured if you can find out the cause.

Did they try to find out what caused it? Did you have cold symptoms before, ear infection symptoms? https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/tinnitus/diagnosis-treatment/drc-20350162

I've had no other symptoms havent been ill either, it's only happened over the past few days and only when I lie down not when I'm up and moving around so don't think it's serious just unusual. I'll try to get in with docs I haven't been yet as didn't think it's serious

I had it before and it turned out to be Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension. If you develop headaches then you would need to get treatment urgently. Otherwise I would just go to GP.

I have this - but had all the tests done (private health insurance) including a MRI, hearing tests etc - nothing found. Have found mine is worse with stress.

I resolved 'hearing my heartbeat throbbing in my ears' by using beconase after it was suggested I might have eustachian tube dysfunction. It was a relief!

I came on to say exactly the same thing. For me it was going back to work after maternity leave and in the end I left my job so that definitely helped. It comes and goes for me and it only returns if I remember I have it iyswim. I recently went to the dr again and he basically told me that it's one of those things I'd have to live with. Not helpful and I'm not in the position for private health care. I also find when I go through healthy spurts then it's not so prevalent.
I hope you get some sort of solution OP.
