For around last 10 weeks have been having right sided flank pain radiating around to back, I put it down to stress initially but it has got worse. I ended up in A+E on Easter Sunday, and went on to have a USS last Tuesday. They said no gallstones but do have a lump which they said was puzzling, an anomaly which is attached to side of gallbladder. I'm now waiting for an urgent MRI liver with contrast which is in a weeks time. I just want to get rid of the pain to be honest which keeps me awake on a night, and pain relief not helping, please has anybody had anything similar. I'm concerned about what this could be.

Sorry to hear that.
No ideas what it could be - idk if polyps are external/internal BUT it’s great you are having testing to find out.

Can you make sure you are on top of the pain - as in take regularly and as much as you are allowed. I know some people find Buscopan can be good for gallbladders.
And I think codeine in some cases can make them contract - can you ask for different pain relief - like maybe discuss diclofenac ?

So sorry to hear you're going through this! Gallbladder pain is horrific!
What helped me was a mixture of buscopan, codeine and morphine. All supervised by dr of course. Have you been advised to attend hospital for pain management during severe attacks?
