Night Nurse medication and mood

Hello

I've had a god awful cough and sinus pain bug for 2 weeks now.

Today I'm feeling really tired and low in mood. I just want to get into bed and cry myself to sleep but got 2 little kids to look after so obviously won't be doing that.

I've taken night nurse medication the last 2 nights which knocked me out and I slept well but I'm just feeling so heavy and low today - could it be the night nurse?? Can't see anything on the leaflet about it affecting mood.

Anyone else experienced this or am I on the verge of a huge bout of depression

I’m loaded of cold and sore throat but won’t take night nurse it makes me sooo drowsy the next day xx

Yes it's a depressant. Evil stuff

It's really done a number on my mind! I can't believe it doesn't have any warning about that

Did you read the patient information leaflet? There’s probably a warning in there.

Adverse mood effects here with it too.

That's interesting, have never had that effect after taking it. Everyone's different!

It just makes me feel really sluggish the morning after. Great for occasional knock out sleep but not regular use.

@Froggy99 yes I did. There are several warnings but nothing about it having an impact on mood. It says not to take it if taking certain antidepressants (which I'm not) but that's the closest to it.

Yes we are indeed all different! Got a lot of bright yellow / green mucus going on today so maybe I'm just feeling crap anyway due to an infection. But I definitely don't feel like taking night nurse again
