Hypertension meds and antihistamines any pharmacist about please?

I am on lisinopril 5mg and amlodipine 5mg daily and am wondering if I have the beginnings of hayfever. My eyes are itchy and tired all the time.
I heard in the past you cannot take antihistamines when on blood pressure meds? Is this true? Am off on holiday in the morning so not able to get to pharmacist to ask. Rest of the family do suffer from hay fever so have phexophenadine and ceterizine hydrochloride available but do not want to take and risk illness on holiday if a big no no.

I don't think there are interactions between the blood pressure meds you are taking and antihistamines. You can google the two meds together as a search term: "cetirizine amlodipine" and you will get information.

Some of the Boots branches are open late - they might advise you even if they did not dispense the prescription. Cetirizine is OTC - just say you bought some and you are wondering if you can take it with your other meds.
