Metronizadole - should I wait longer than 48 hours to drink alcohol?

I’m on a night out exactly 48 hours after my last dose of Metronidazole. I’ll have been on it for 5 days.
Should I not risk having a drink or will it have left my body by then? If it’s not completely left, is the reaction less violent or not? Thanks

Think you should be ok - dread to say I didn’t think and had a couple of pub measured glasses of wine with a full meal roughly 7 hours after my last dose on this on Saturday after more hospital visiting, I felt a little strange Sunday mid-morning but nothing that I couldn’t get past and pretty silly to drink within the first 24 hours but I’m definitely here.

I've been fine in a similar time frame, but everyone is different...

It's got a pretty short half life so you should be fine.
