I’m just curious as to your recovery time. I’ve been told 2 weeks and I’m hoping that’s 2 weeks and back to work. Grateful for any experience.

2 months. I felt like I’d been run over by a bus for at least two weeks. I stayed in hospital for 2 nights afterwards. Of the other two ladies on my ward, one got Bell’s palsy afterwards and was still in hospital about 8 days post op. The other, a heavy smoker, seemed fine as soon as her chest drain came out.

I was able to drive myself to the hospital for the 2 week follow up and walk from the car park to the clinic. I think that’s what they mean by recovered. I mean back to pre-op level.
