Non breast feeding mastitis again-35!

Hello.

Mastitis for the 2nd time in 2 years, exact same time of year. Had a rash before. This time no rash but it is in both breasts and travelling down one arm and shoulder specifically. Pain is worse in one breast and mainly underneath breasts- bra line. Had a miscarriage a few months ago. Anyone had similar symptoms?

Hey, did this settle for you? I’m currently going through the same thing, convinced it’s mastitis but I’m not breastfeeding, not pregnant although I did have a very early miscarriage 2 weeks ago. Very strange. I hope everything is ok with you

It did after a wk on antibiotics and 3 days on steroids. Took the full time.

Thanks for your reply that’s reassuring. I went to my GP she examined my breast and didn’t feel any lumps or bumps, due to the rash and pain she gave me antibiotics says it looks like an infection, has referred me to breast clinic just as a formality. Of course I am absolutely petrified and a nervous wreck now waiting for a date to go, day 3 of antibiotics and still painful, really hoping it clears up long before I get a date. Xx
