Varicose veins - Benenden Health Insurance

Does anyone have experience of having varicose vein treatment using Benenden health insurance?

My veins are starting to hurt on one leg and I would like them removed but don’t know the process. Do I need a GP’s referral letter before Benenden would see me? Will they cover the full cost of treatment?

Thanks 😊

Hi, Just wondering how you got in? I have membership and my varicose views are getting so sore. Hoping I don’t need to see my GP first!

I’ve decided to wait until after the summer to get treatment. Will probably take that long to get a GP’s appointment 🙄 Will report back when I have news!😉

Beneden have stopped their free Varicose Vein treatment for members.
I'd been putting off getting mine done and then in January I thought I'd sort it with them as I'm a member but their scheme had Neded the week before!
You can get the same treatment privately anywhere.

The cost seems to be about £3k wherever you go.
