Pain and swelling in ankle, what do I do?

December 2023 I was diagnosed with Achilles tendinitis and told to go to physio. At that point I had been in pain for about 4 weeks.

My experience with physio was awful, I was told all I can do is wait and lose weight. I just put up with it and eventually the pain did seem to subside, at the start of March.

But now the left (outside) of my ankle around my Achilles is swollen and painful, and the pain is shooting into the top of my foot. It hurts even when I'm sat down with no weight on the ankle. What do I do? I don't want to go back to the doctor as they dismissed me and told me to go to physio, physio didn't help and I never got an appointment face to face. It's just so painful!

I've had this for around 10 years since I had a nasty fall and sprained my ankle really badly. It's still to this day very swollen and painful and especially when I get up in the morning I can barely put any weight on it until I get going. Same as you physio was useless and my GP also said to lose weight. There's nothing else they can do apparently.
