Can anyone help me make sense of this, please? I recently had an appointment with a consultant orthodontist and am now awaiting an appointment at the joint clinic. In the following letter she mentions that I have class ll division l incisors on a moderate skeletal ll base with significantly increased vertical proportions. She also said that I have pan facial asymmetry and the left hand side of my face is longer than the right hand side which is evident on the OPT which shows the ramus on the left is significantly longer than the ramus on the right, as is the body of the mandible.
I just want it put into layman’s terms for me. We obviously discussed it a bit at my appointment but I was quite emotional as I have really low self-esteem due to all these problems and was just crying a lot and struggling to take anything in.
I’d really appreciate any help with understanding it.
