Chemo cancelled due to WBC level

Dh is supposed to be having chemo today but his wbc is too low. Hoping to reschedule for next week. Oncologist doesn’t think he needs an injection at this time. I’ve read some things on line about diet increasing levels. Is there any truth in this? He is on a liquid diet due to throat cancer but willing to try anything.

Diet won’t help, sorry. Just time.

thanks @SlightlyConcerned23 . I’m so gutted as I fear that he will be feeling more poorly from the side effects of the radiotherapy.

cancer is rarely a linear line and this obstacles and plan changes are common unfortunately. In a way that’s reassuring that this is normal for wbc to sometimes be too low. Trust the specialist and use the support nurses or call McMillan and get advice re diet.
