Fingers changing size

I've recently started wearing rings again and I'm finding my fingers are changing size hugely. I know there will be variation depending on warmth but this seems extreme. On one day last week a ring ended up being worn on three different fingers and a thumb - at other times the ring was too big or too small for each of them (generally going too small, fits, then too big and back again). Each finger it fitted on a couple of times during the day.

Is this something I should be concerned about or just an annoyance now I'm older? Thank you!

Yes as you get older your fingers change its bloody annoying I've had to have rings resized !

The jeweller was very tactful in saying it isn't rare amongst "certain " age groups,

Haha, nicely done. Should they be changing that much in a single day?

Oh I don't know are you feeling OK I mean if you are worried about the swelling definitely see the Gp I didn't really notice it creeping up just my wedding rings seemed to get tighter overnight it was weird.

Mine do this. Especially if I'm running / active / hot they swell like mad. And in the morning I can't get rings off. If I'm cold / been resting they're fine!

Could you be the beginning of arthritis? My fingers would feel very hot, then swell, then change shape and direction over just a few days, and also swell over just a few hours.

Hmmm, I under the rheumatologist so I'll contact him and ask. A good thought, thank you.
