This has been bugging me for a while: Why does urine sometimes smell like sugarpuffs?

Sometimes looks like crystals aswell. Do you think it could be dehydration? I had my blood sugar checked months ago and it was normal, I'm just wondering if anyone knows what it could be. I don't overload the sugar. It's odd.

lol! Mine sometimes does as well - I'd say it's probably when I'm dehydrated.

avenanap · 27/03/2008 21:31

I'm sorry. I know it's gross but it is really bugging me. I have not had sugarpuffs since I was a child and I am often reminded of how much I miss them .

avenanap · 27/03/2008 21:45

No chance. What's sex??? I'm glad I'm not alone. Still don't know what it is though.

Have you been eating asparagus?

Spaceman · 27/03/2008 21:49

It depends what you eat. I ate a large bag of Tesco S&V Twirls the other day (made of wheat powder I think) and urine smelt of them. Do you eat a lot of snacks?

avenanap · 27/03/2008 21:52

I don't snack, I hardly get time to eat. I skip breakfast, have a sandwich for lunch and a proper meal for tea. don't like asparagus. Don't drink enough water. I just forget to eat sometimes. I'm not surprised I have ME.

OP posts:
Posey · 27/03/2008 21:54

Yeah, used to get it quite regularly when I worked nights but haven't now for years.
So I don't know why

avenanap · 27/03/2008 21:56

I need to divert the topic a bit. Is this ok?

avenanap · 27/03/2008 21:59

I have a bit of a problem. Can i ask for some advice?

OP posts:
flossish · 27/03/2008 22:04

YOU can always ask!!

callmewhatyoulike · 27/03/2008 22:05

Coffee ALWAYS does this to me. I often forget i've drunk some until I have a pee!

avenanap · 27/03/2008 22:07

There's a thread started by a pregnant mnetter. She said she's been having some pain and babys movements have slowed down. I have spent time with a midwife who told me that this is a sign of the baby needing to be born or else it will not survive. I have left a message telling her to contact her midwife and I don't know what else I can do. I don't want to scare her but the midwife I worked with knew her stuff.

flossish · 27/03/2008 22:18

ask one of the MN 'experts' to look over there?

avenanap · 27/03/2008 22:19

I thought I was the only one affected by coffee. I even stopped drinking it because I thought it must be doing something horrible to my insides if I still smelt once it was through my system and out!

When I've mentioned it in rl people have looked at me as if I'd lost my marbles.

I'm normal....thanks, everyone.
