Being sent for urgent MRI scan because of headaches

I started getting them when orgasming a couple of weeks ago and yesterday when exercising. So I did an econsult and saw a fab GP today.
He did all the usual tests. Bp was high 163/102 😳 so I have to do the weekly chart again.
All the reflex tests etc were ok.

I had an MRI a couple of years ago because of migraines caused by hrt. And palate tremor, head pressure etc. There's something not right and hasn't been for a while but they can't find what?

This latest thing is new. I'm going to stick to walking and yoga until after the MRI.

I was telling a friend and she said she'd had this but it just went away? Really hope mine does 🤞

My DH had an MRI due to headaches and pressure that came on or got worse when he bent down, coughed, sneezed. They showed he had chronic sinusitis. He had no idea.

I do have sinus issues. This pain starts at my neck though and goes over my head.
I hope your DH is ok now?

I would be interested to hear how you get on. I started developing this post Covid and just assumed it was one of my long Covid symptoms. I also used to get menstrual migraines when I was younger. Are you peri menopause age? Could it be related to that?

I know this thread is a little old and I’m sure you’ve had your MRI and results but in case not, I had the same symptoms and with straining, although no high bp. My CT head was clear and I have found that amitriptilline has really helped my symptoms.

Hi I had the results and the head scan came back as normal.
I'm seeing an osteopath this week so hoping he can help?
I'm post menopausal.
