Back, neck, and joint pain - complicated history - not sure about advice given.

Hi,
Just looking for reassurance or advice. Rcently had a few days in bed due to a virus. Hip and knee pain suddenly started - better for motion. Eased off a bit, then came back worse, now in both hips and knees plus one ankle. Right leg keeps collapsing under me.

Then, severe pain started in R hip, radiating across lower back, groin, and down inner thigh.

But, also have chronic issues with back and neck - have hypermobile vertebrae mid back and a history of 4 broken vertebrae. These issues are now massively worse. Can barely move, though doing my best with stretching exercises.

Saw GP nurse this morning who advised to up painkillers and do more exercises. I also have underlying CFS and Fibro so at my limit anyway. She also advised ring physio for self-referral. I got a machine and am expecting a call back within 2 days.

The leaflet she gave me mentions that self-referral might not be suitable for complicated issues involving widespread pain. Not sure If I can expect a chat when I'm called back or just an appointment booking.

I worry I'll end up in an automatic queue for an appointment that might be unsuitable. Can't do much till I get some relief, even turning over in bed is an issue.
