Weight gain after stopping pill

I'm in my 40s and I went back on the pill a few years ago after kids. I've come off it a few months ago and feel like I can't eat anything without putting on weight now. I'm sure in my twenties it was people ON the pill who complained about putting on weight? Im not eating or drinking more than usual. I have always been slim ish and I don't eat loads, I think I eat a normal amount. I exercise twice a week and walk in between. Is this the future - eating like a bird, being hungry and having to work out daily? I don't have time! What's going on! Should I go back on it?

It could be the reduction in oestrogen. It's not quite the same thing, but ironically when I was on HRT I found it easier to stay at the same weight as now I'm off it (unfortunately had to come off due to breast cancer). I'm on Tamoxifen (started beginning of December) and I've put on about 5 pounds, which I'm now trying to lose. I'm 49. TBH if I was in your position I would be tempted to go back on the pill.

Thanks. Ok that makes sense. Yes I'm tempted. But I also had low libido when on it 🫠 so I don't know what to do for the best. Hard being a woman isn't it.
