My son has been using Daktarin spray for just over a month now. This has massively helped and we now have no white patches, no broken skin, no soreness and no itching. However, he still has patches of dry skin, almost flaky but very small patches. It has looked this way for a number of weeks now and isn't changing.

We are wanting to treat until completely clear to stop it coming back. We just aren't sure if it has cleared or if the flaked skin is a sign it is still there?

Hoping someone has experience and can help.

It might be that the skin is dry and needs moisturiser?
To try and stop it coming back he needs to wash his feet and dry REALLY well, only time I use a hairdryer is to dry between my toes!!
Clean socks daily and get rid of any manky trainers
Treat with something like lamisil as soon as he notices itching etc.

Thanks for the response.

We have switched to the cream treatment now instead of the spray to see if that makes a difference. Because of his age, we are limited to treatment options.

We are changing socks regularly and cleaning at a high temperature! And have invested in shoe spray.

We are hoping it is something he picked up at swimming and hopefully once treatment is finished it will be over!
