I'm recovering from viral flu which then led to a very nasty chest infection. I'm still bunged up from that, blocked nose sore chest. 2 days ago I started getting a very dull ache in my bottom 3rd molar which has previously had a filling (my only 1!)
Over the past 2 days it's become more painful at night and has spread across my mouth which is making me think it could be one of these things

Grinding my teeth in my sleep, I have no one to ask if I am but it did make me wonder because sometimes my top jaw aches too
It was so sore last night I actually got up and got paracetomal which is really unlike me. I'm at the dentist Monday morning but my minds whirring with fear of needing an extraction or something similar, I've never had this before
BTW I should mention my gums look fine, can't see anything obvious that could be causing it. I'm not showing signs of infection e.g. high temp. Thank you x
