Metallic taste

I've had a metallic taste in my mouth for a months now, especially inside my lower lip. Drives me crazy.

1. Oral health fine, dentist check up yearly and hygiene (with dentist) mid year, no gum problems reported and no recent dental work;
2. No regular medications, occasional painkiller, no medical treatment;
3. No supplements;
4. No cold, nose is clear.

So what could it be? Getting twitching eyelids quite often more recently too.

Metallic taste is a common early pregnancy symptom, could you be pregnant?

Have you had your iron, B12 and folate levels checked?

Take magnesium for twitchy eyelids. I had metallic taste before I knew I was pregnant.

I was going to say pregnancy also - a really strong taste that won't go away

Is it affecting the taste of what you eat and drink or just there?

Do you eat pine nuts? Pesto?

Could be pine mouth, I've had it twice and it's miserable.

I'd top up on magnesium for the metallic taste.

I can definitely confirm I’m not pregnant.

I do eat pesto but it would be the first time I’d react like this. I suppose it’s a possibility.
