Kidneys, what could it be ?

I am in my 30s and have high blood pressure.

I have recently changed Dr's. When diagnosed with HBP, my previous Dr simply gave me drugs ( I am slim, exercise, don't drink, have never smoked)

My new Dr ordered a kidney ultrasound.

I phoned up today to get my results fully expecting everything is fine ! Only to be told, I have a face to face appointment on Monday with the Dr to discuss results !

I am now panicking. What could they possibly tell me ? Has anyone been through this?

It's a long wait until Monday.....

i too am slim and generally healthy. My blood pressure has also been very high lately and now I have been diagnosed with stage 3 kidney disease. It has not affected my life except for taking extra tablets. I have been taking Naproxen for arthritis for years and assume this is the cause.

i checked the NHS website and their are 5 stages. Until you know where you are in the progress of the disease, it can be quite worrying waiting. NHS website does give some ideas for diet changes.

I hope you get a good outcome. It may be worth phoning the surgery to find out more. I have the NHS app, which stated quite clearly it was stage 3.

Just had an ultrasound today although it’s pretty sure that it was the water tablets I started taking that made things a bit wonky. Hope all is ok!
