Blood - when pooed - pic

Had blood on tissue when pooed today

Sorry - see pic...

I had 2 x colonoscopies last year

Have another soon - this month

I showed photo to a pharmacist @ boots

He was concerned re mucus

I also have an ibs diagnosed..

And significant colon polyps...

Going to walk in later

Was not straining when at loo..

Red - fresh blood...

How worried should i be

Mucus can be an IBS symptom. Blood that’s bright red and not much of it - haemorrhoids.

Fresh red is usually not a worry

I had similar and I had colonoscopy. I had 3 benign polyps removed. Please see GP as you should get this checked out.

Saw a female gp @ walk in

She did an examination - said theres a skin tag or haemoroid or polyp..

Said the colonoscopy later this month will be helpful

She said the bleed will be noted on my record and my own gp wil be able to see.

She said if i get fever or vomiting or pain - the gp can speed up colonoscopy
