Where did you have it done? I’d start with them, I had a new ear piercing today, they gave aftercare advice and advised on products and said any issues go back to them. If it’s very painful/infected I’d go to a minor injuries place/walk in centre.

It was at a party 🙈 a friend of a friend - some many months ago and it's never really settled (I know, I know, don't judge me)

No judgement, but I’d let a professional piercer have a look. If you’re anywhere near Manchester then I can recommend Holier Than Thou.

I saw similar once at a studio in London while I was waiting for a tattoo. Chap had the back of his neck done, piercer recommended it be removed but said they wouldn’t do it again as the skin was too damaged, so you may have to just have it removed and let it heal.

Yes that’s not happy. Get yourself to a piercer on the APP list and get it looked at.

It looks like it's rejecting. I'd go to a piercer tomorrow if you can to ask for their advice.

Taking it out, if its a bit iffy, can cause worse scarring, so don't do that until you've let someone take a look

Begaydocrime94 · 08/03/2024 21:33

Mate you need to take that out asap, it’s going to reject if it’s not already rejecting. if you take it out it’ll limit the scarring and maybe you could get it repierced

ginoclocksomewhere · 08/03/2024 21:40

Does it feel sore/hot? If not it might be keloids.

BabyVendetta · 08/03/2024 22:17

No I don't think it feels hot

It’s extremely irritated and probably rejecting. It also looks crooked but that could be inflammation causing the barbell to sit wonky I suppose.

You’ll need to get a professional piercer to look at it.

Firstly don't remove the piercing until a professional has seen it. I used to have my nipple pierced and it got caught on my bra and later infected. They advised me to keep the piercing in and continue to clean it with warm salt water compresses. I think the idea was by keeping the piercing open the infection could drain or it could turn into an abscess. The picture isn't quite clear but it could be keloid scarring forming so movement of the jewellery should be kept to an absolute minimum orbit will make it worse.
