im 9wks postpartum and still havent decided on a method of contraception. Condoms irritate me so not keen on them. Im breastfeeding so need something that is safe to use and also something that wont make me gain weight. I was on micrynon or something like that before and went up a dress size in less then a month i felt totally bloated. Any recommendations?

I was on cerazette til recently. It was great. It's progesterone only but you have 12 hours in which to take it like the combined pills. No side effects whatsoever.

I tried microgynon for 3 weeks was bloated, permanently weepy, felt sick, mood swings - all the fun of being pregnant without the baby.

I use cerazette too and have actually managed to lose some weight - with femulen I always felt hungry.

is cerazette the mini pill?

Have you ever thought about EVRA patches?

I tried the pill and mirena, esp. the latter was torture.

The patches worked really well for me. Change once a week and patch onto your bum cheek or thighs.

Will do it again after pregnancy. So painfree & easy.
