Hello everyone!
I know this is a long shot but thought I would post anyway.
I had itchy ears in January they became painful and I was getting dizzy, I also grew a lump inside of my ear. So I went to the GP and he prescribed antibiotic spray for otitis externia, but he didn't really know what the lump was. He suggested a lymph node coming up in a weird place??
I don't think the itchiness or lump ever properly went away and it's bothering me, I cant get into the gp again until the 13th when I have an appointment. But it worrying me that I've had an infection for over a month, or makes me even more worried thinking its a lymph node! I just can't see anything like mine online and it's only annoying not actually painful and thought it would go away on its own but it hasn't!
I just wanted to see if anyone else has had anything similar really or any advice. TYIA.

It’s not a lymph node. Looks like an inflamed/ infected sebaceous cyst. Difficult to say without a sharper picture of the top surface. Can you see a dot/ punctum on the top?

@olympicsrock thankyou for your reply, maybe there is a hint of a head at the top?

@Haircutadvice that's a spot give it a couple of days to come to a proper head then deal with it.

@Hoardasurass thank you fo your advice it's been there on and off for a month, fo you just think it's a reccuring one?

@Haircutadvice Yes its really difficult to completely empty ear spots so they tend to come back ds gets the same 1 coming back regularly

I've had similar previously. Not the itching ear, but the lump. Did the GP say you had any dry skin within your ear?
I'd put warm/hot water on a cotton bud and hold it on the spot to try to get it to a head. If it hasn't discharged before your appointment, I'd ask again.

Warm flannel might bring the head up on it. I get something similar inside my earlobe from time to time - sometimes it comes to a head and pops, other times it seems to take its time to resolve.
