Osteoarthritis in Toes nhs or private podiatrist?

Hello
I have been struggling with pain in the ball of each foot and an xray showed osteoarthritis and worn joints. It's probably linked to my bunions too which have misshapen my toes. I walk a lot but have had to cut down drastically because it hurts like a hot needle through the toes joints.

I've got a referral to NHS podiatrist but it's over 3 months away.

My question is would a private podiatrist be able to offer advice and treatment? I've googled local ones and they don't mention arthritis or metatarsalgia. I'd happily pay for quick treatment

Any thoughts gratefully received

Absolutely go see a private podiatrist! Mine identified a problem with my plantar plate ligaments on ball of left foot that could only be corrected by surgery. I'd have waited an over a year on NHS just to get an initial appointment, let alone any further action. Our NHS podiatry dept is only dealing with urgent cases currently (their definition of urgent is 'open wound'!! 😱 I was nowhere near the top of the list.)

I'd go private. If you're in the Midlands I can recommend one.

Thank you both, that settles it.
Not in the midlands (I'm near Bradford West Yorkshire) @DonttouchthatLarry but thanks for the offer.
