Colonic anyone?

I am thinking about having a colonic irrigation treatment as I am really windy and its getting worse. I am 57, menopausal, have quite a good diet (generally veggie with fish), no bowel issues (have had GP faecal test done with negative results) and am just so fed up with the constant wind. I have already spoken to my GP about the flatulence and she is not worried as the text came back with no problems.

My questions are:

Has anyone had a colonic for wind and has it worked?
Does it hurt? (not very fond of things going up my bum but willing to try!)
Shall I put on my big girl pants (obvs will need to take them off) and give it a go?
Did you see any other benefits such as weight loss, better complexion and concentration?

Any help with this would be much appreciated.
I sometimes feel like joining an orchestra its so bad.
Thank you
