are you doing anything at the time, like getting up, exercise or something or just at rest?

Twiglett · 25/03/2008 18:44

at rest

For me:

hunger
de-hydration
'sickening' for something
hangover
being very tired
standing up too quickly if sat for a long time

Twiglett · 25/03/2008 18:59

good list ... but none are applicable

in fact I probably feel worse when I've just eaten

Pregnancy?

SpacePuppy · 25/03/2008 19:04

You can also get this from a pinched nerve in your neck. If you turn your head to the side you feel kind of dizzy, the nerves in your neck is connected to the middle ear and can affect balance, making you feel dizzy. So the question is do you have a stiff neck?

RUMPEL · 25/03/2008 19:09

Or sinus congestion,
or muscle tension,
or more than usual stress
or lack of sleep?

Twiglett · 25/03/2008 19:17

ok neck / muscle tension a possibility .. off to get heatpack .. certainly aching a bit

thanks guys

milkmoustache · 25/03/2008 19:26

lack of iron?

RUMPEL · 25/03/2008 19:29

Massage, massage, massage - book yourself 1 - a good 1 is devine, although a bad one is frustrating!

Whizzz · 25/03/2008 19:32

low blood pressure ?

Youcannotbeserious · 25/03/2008 19:36

I'm with Whizz... Check for low BP.

My DH has this - feels just-sort-of-dizzy-not-really, just comes and goes, feels worse after he's eaten (esp. a big meal) and also feels aching (though from what I can gather he feels aching most of the time.)

His is a side effect from BP tablets (He has high BP normally)

poodlepusher · 25/03/2008 19:38

For me two things have caused this

anemia
low blood pressure - worsened by being tired.

anemia you can have treated with iron supplements, low blood pressure is fine, as long as its not too too low.

mousemole · 25/03/2008 19:41

blood sugar problems ? Especially if its worse after eating - sounds like a glycaemic 'crash' after food. try a few days of small high fibre, low glycaemic foods and see if that helps. Eat a healthy snack every few hours.

CountessDracula · 25/03/2008 19:44

I have had this reckon is a virus

have you had any leg pain?

PuppyMonkey · 25/03/2008 19:47

I was getting that lots and had a check up at docs. She told me I had low blood pressure. You ought to get yours checked out.

I fixed it by eating a few salty things! made me feel loads better.. Obviously, it's the opposite of what they tell you if you have high blood pressure...

Twiglett · 25/03/2008 20:53

no leg pain

fairly sure I haven't got low blood pressure

am going to get my eyes checked just in case, but despite having a left-over blind spot in one eye from a retinal hemmorhage 7 years ago, I have always had 20-20 vision
