As title says really …
History of mild endo but been lucky enough to not suffer painful periods .
This month nearly into day 3 and still SO painful and feel so unwell almost flu like
How long do your period pains last and do you get random bad ones for no reason ?
Im 34 , 2 kids .
Im also finding up to 10 days before a period i feel flu like to extent i keep thinking i need to book a docs app but thr symptoms are so general i think whats the point and what can they do ? Im not anemic and recent bloods were mostly normal but week leading up and during
nausea , muscle aches flu like .

anyone else similar ?

It varies. About a week before is when it starts and then it gradually gets worse, peaks when I come on and then starts to ease off - prob about 5 days ish?

I had this and also a b12 deficiency. I had the implant which stopped my periods and all the side effects.

SaraS12 · 02/03/2024 14:57

Will B12 supplements help?

Skykidsspy · 02/03/2024 15:07

I had to take folic acid.

Lkakpk · 02/03/2024 15:11

@SaraS12 worth a try isnt it . Its so debilitating !

did the gp prescribe you folic acid to take?

read the link on the symptoms!

I was having very heavy periods before I went on the implant and I’m not sure if the was the cause of the deficiency or as a result … chicken or egg scenario.

either way, I felt awful!! & had to go to bed and sleep when I was ovulating and then when I got my period.

folic acid and the implant did cure all for me.

Vitamin B12 or folate deficiency anaemia

Read about vitamin B12 or folate deficiency anaemia, which occurs when a lack of vitamin B12 or folate causes the body to produce abnormally large red blood cells.
