My 6 month old daughter had a tummy bug a week ago and is teething quite badly. She has gone off her veg at lunch time. She has never been a huge eater but always healthy and was doing well on weaning and eating most of her lunch. What to do?

Babies are actually excellent judges of when they should not eat. If she's been unwell she probably can't stomach food again yet (quite literally) and as its not a good idea to force food on them, why not just offer it to her and if she refuses, put it away, until the time comes that she's back on solids again?

Its awful when this happens as you see them lose weight quite quickly - but the good news is that they tend to pile it back on again quite fast.

I hope she's feeling 100% soon.
