Is this sinus related or something entirely different?

I’m feeling so sorry for self tonight that I just want to cry.
I became ill on 1st Jan with a sinus infection, initially thought to be viral, the virus/infection sparked panic attacks which I had never suffered from before, panic is now under control but sinus issues are ongoing.

The sinus infection continued to get worse.

2 weeks ago I was finally given antibiotics, these appeared to work initially but at the end of the course, the infection hadn’t gone entirely and I was prescribed a 2nd course of the same antibiotics

Last week the 2nd course didn’t seam to be having any effects in fact I was getting worse, I developed head pain/pressure, my cheek bones where really swollen and the nerves in my face started twitching, I went back to my GP last week who prescribed different antibiotics, I still have a day and half of these left,

Initially they appeared to work but the last 2 days I have dreadful headaches that cocodamol and ibuprofen are not touching. Sudafed helps slightly but I try not to take too many as in the past I have reacted badly to them

Alongside the headaches I still have issues with the nerves over my face, it feels like there are spiders crawling all over my face, back of my head, scalp and around my eyes constantly. It is driving me crazy, I can’t focus on anything, this evening the nerve issue has spread to my shoulder, fingers and now my toes.

The lower half of my face feels heavy, not moving fully, I have a gland up in my jaw which is very very sore/uncomortable and have now cold sores and mouth ulcers, I only get these when I’m very run down.

I mentioned the facial heaviness and nerves twitching to my gp last week but she glossed over it and just prescribed the new antibiotics, she didn’t check my face/ask any question about them

Has anyone experienced this before. This is my 9th week of this illness and I am absolutely exhausted which is turn is making me feel worse and I have no reserves left, honesty I just want to cry, I can’t remember the last time I felt well.

Is this normal for a sinus infection? Is there anything my GP can do.

Will my GP see me before antibiotics are finished?

Thank you for any help/advice it is greatly appreciated,

Have you ever had a root canal done? Sometimes these can break into the sinus cavities and cause all sorts of problems. Might be worth having a dental checkup and Xrays.

Sinus infections can become persistent and become chronic sinusitus and very hard for antibiotics to fix. I'd recommend getting some kind of saline sinus rinse like Sterimar or Neilmed netti bottles which I found kept it under control.

My chronic sinusitus was finally fixed by surgery, but before that I had all sorts of odd symptoms around my body when it flared up.

You need to get reviewed asap to be in the safe side op. I don’t want to scare you, it’s a rare occurrence, but sinus infections can spread to the brain occasionally. The fact you are having this weird nerve problems is very concerning. Why did they wait so long to give you antibiotics? I usually eye roll when people jump quickly to you need to go to A&E straight away on here, but I think maybe this time you really do need to . Seriously.
At the very least call 111.
