Reaction to an insect bite

Apologies for the terrible photos! I was bitten on my side by some sort of insect around 2 weeks ago now, it came up in a huge welt. The first picture is from the day after it happened, the last two are from today. Worth letting a pharmacist take a look or just ignore it and hope it goes away?

That's a classic bullseye shape, it was probably a tick bite?
Definitely have it looked at, those things are nasty.

Looks like it may be a bullseye rash from a tick bite. If it is you’ll need antibiotics from your GP.

Is it not too early in the year for a tick bite?

You’ll need to get that looked at asap

I have a doctors appointment in half an hour to get it checked out, another bite I had on my foot has also now developed the same rash!

I’m now the proud owner of a 3 week course of doxycycline!

Was it a tick bite?

YoureMyWifeNowDave · 28/02/2024 19:52

The GP said it was more than likely tick bites, both rashes look like classic erythema migrans. The one on my foot was just a lump two days ago but now has the same rash around it!
