My friend had this injection with the self same side effects as you have had. It took her a long time to shift the weight and it did not ultimately help her endometriosis.

Would also suggest you look at Endometriosis UK's website which is www.endo.org.uk. Someone on their forum which is very informative may be able to give you some more advice.

Hi Angmarie I am on a six month course of this injection due to have last injection this friday. I think I must be lucky as I havent put any weight on with this but am suffering from hot flushes. But I had an operation prior to recieving the injections.

Fifitinkerbell , I discovered that talking Kalms help with hot flushes . It has helped with my endo though but just not happy with the other side effects

sorry for the delay Angmarie will try Kalms can you get them from Boots. What other side effects have you had apart from the weight gain I have noticed I have got hairier & get back headaches, skin has dryed out alot & my skin has got spotty. Was given HRT but wanted to manage with out it.
Have you had a operation for you endo then?

angmarie · 26/03/2008 18:37

my skin is very dry and I have had a few headaches , I found the hot flushes the worse to deal with espcially at night or sat at my desk at work. I was given HRT though .

You can get Kalms from anywhere it is a herbal remedy for when you are stressed out but it actually states on them as well good for hot flushes.

I have had laser treatment twice for endo , one was 9 years ago when first diagnosed and then again 18months ago but it came back within a year the second time .

I have asked about a hysterectomy but the doctor says I am too young as I am only 33 but I have had two children and feel like my family is complete.

Hi sorry for the delay internet playing up. Well I am 34, but last october I had a major operation was in surgery for 3 hours as she cut away all the endo as it was stuck to my bowel but she did have to take away a tube & a ovary she was a brillant surgeon. The pain that comes with having endo is terrible I was having to have morphine injections all the time. I would much rather go through child birth than that again. So how are you doing now?

oh my god fifi , poor you min ehas never been that bad , which I am grateful for . I am fine at the moment ( touch wood ) but you just never know when it will flare up again.
