Dental specialist won't take wisdom tooth out - I'm in pain!

I have had two dentists and a dental specialist say that they cannot take my lower left wisdom tooth out as it is deeply impacted and close to facial nerves. Taking out the tooth could result in fracture of my jaw bone, facial paralysis and permanent numbness! Understandably, I'm happy to avoid surgery to remove the tooth given that removing it could cause a lot of damage, but I'm in such pain!

Has anyone else has this? How do you manage the pain long term? I am alternating ibuprofen and paracetamol and rubbing voltarol into the jaw as well as down my neck (where the pain is radiating). This doesn't seem sustainable long term! Would welcome any suggestions!

You need a hospital referral for this.

Have they considered doing a coronectomy?

I hadn't heard of this procedure. I've just googled what it entails. It could be an option. Thanks for the suggestion.
