Sorry if TMI

generally I don’t struggle to go the toilet, usually quite the opposite actually and very rarely suffer from constipation, but this last week I have! I’m not sure what it is, I’ve been under a lot of stress, not really eating properly and bene living off muller rice which I don’t normally eat so wonder if that had clogged me up. I have recently had an increase in my medication too (sertraline). When I first started taking it I started with constipation then nasty diarrhoea. I’ve since increased dose a week or two ago, which makes me think it could be partly that too.

I really struggled to go this morning after not going for 2-3 days which is very unusual for me, very painful and straining. I noticed there was quite a bit of bright red fresh blood in the toilet and when I wiped.

I’ve since drank some orange which frankly might not of been the best idea now it seems and done two looser stools this afternoon. The first one was totally blood free but the second was quite bloody again.

any advice? Obviously if it carries on I will go to the doctors but I know my doctors are shut for a couple days this week and also short staffed so I doubt they will give me one quickly.

anything I can do in the meantime? I’m not sure if it’s fissures or haemorrhoids or something else. It is a little stingy and tender down there but nothing too incredibly painful between bowel movements!

any products to try? I can’t see anything when I looked in the mirror 🫣

going to get into a Epsom salt bath soon!
