Hi all. Can I ask how you deal with erratic heavy periods? Practical tips? At the moment I'm surviving by wodging tissue into my pants every day 'just in case'. I used to have really light and short periods. I've been on tamoxifen the last 9 years as I was treated for breast cancer at 39. Only had one period a year for the last two years but suddenly they became very heavy. Off it now after scan showed thickened endometrium and more recently a fibroid which is maybe causing the bleeding issue. Reassured through tests it's not cancer and waiting to see what they can do about the fibroid but still struggling with how to manage the day to day anxiety about bleeding through clothes etc. Any tips?

The GP can prescribe tranexamic acid to reduce the blood flow to stop it being so heavy. Have they also checked thyroid, because that can cause erratic periods?
I sympathise, fibroids made my periods hell, I had to wear allways dailies for years, tissue wouldn’t have given me time to get to a toilet!
