Appointment following colposcopy biopsy

Hello,
would love to hear any other similar stories or opinions, I had a smear in November which came back hpv positive and borderline cell changes.
this was the third smear to show hpv in 3 years so i was fully expecting to be referred for a colposcopy.
at the colposcopy the doc said they believed the cell changes were very minor but still took two biopsies to check. She even said ‘I’m not concerned’ after taking them….
however after waiting a very painful 4 weeks for my results (which I was told I would receive whether good or bad) I’ve had a letter arrive with just an appointment to see the same doctor in April.
i wasn’t expecting to be given another appointment without any information regarding my results.
I’ve called the consultants secretary but was told they couldn’t tell me anything with it being the weekend.
my mind is now in overdrive….surely if there were cell changes they would have told me in the letter?
I know absolutely nothing with no way of finding out until at least Monday and just wondering if this is normal? My anxiety is in overdrive.
the idea of a face to face appointment terrifies me but also I can’t understand why (if the results are obviously not good news) I would be waiting nearly 8 weeks for the appointment? Surely when it’s cancer related they’d need to get me in sooner? Also no phone call no nothing :( any similar stories or positive outcomes very welcome 🙏🏻
