6 year old ankle pain

Just looking for some guidance..

My 6 year old has been complaining about her ankle hurting, sporadically. She’s not one for making up stories about injuries as she’s not a fan of the Drs.

Her Dad is a little dismissive and just asks ‘how can you jump around all over the couch and then complain about your ankle’. Which is a fair question, I get it.

I bought her an ankle support, which she tends to wear at night and rub deep heat when she complains of pain. I’ve said I can book an appointment with the Dr if it doesn’t go away, which surprisingly she’s agreed to.

Partner thinks I’m ‘feeding’ her and it’s not that bad. I’m wondering if it could be growing pains, but also wondering if it’s too early, not sure if it relates to her being quite tall/outgrowing her shoes and clothes recently.

Any experiences with something similar?

Whereabouts on her ankle?

Thanks for responding. It’s at the front facing side of her ankle and she says it aches/feels a little painful x
