Iron stores - how to lower

After blood tests my iron stores have been found to be high . I need to book another test but is there anything I can do myself to lower them . Thankyou

If you drink lots of alcohol then reducing/stopping can stop levels being so high going forward.
Stop any OTC supplements meal replacement shakes.
Don’t eat any fortified cereals.
Acquire some leeches.
