I pick up every single thing going, it’s gotten to the point now where life is not worth living as I am unwell more days every month. I seem to get everything my family / work colleagues get x 100.

How’s your sleep? So you exercise, take supplements? How’s your diet? Are you under stress?

I hear you, I was the same when my kids were little. It got better.

CatSighs · 23/02/2024 09:46

That doesn't sound right. I think you should have a chat with your GP. You might need a blood test to make sure everything is ok.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 23/02/2024 10:28

Metatone tonic is great when you're run down.

Jadeee123 · 23/02/2024 14:44

I’m the same currently. Since Jan I have had Pnemonia, sickness bug, trapped nerve in shoulder and now the flu! Don’t think I can hope anymore either. What’s your symptoms? X

Tel12 · 23/02/2024 14:50

Research high dose vitamin D. It helps boost the immune system and a lot of people are deficient.

Jadeee123 · 24/02/2024 11:45

How you feeling? I feel rotton and currently in bed!! X

Pavolvaa · 25/02/2024 15:15

I think it’s the flu at this point never known anything like it.

I am determined to try focus on improving immunity, I don’t get enough sleep as I have young children and I’m not a very good sleeper anyway. Diet needs to improve and have less processed with 3 set meals and then cut on the booze also I think.

What’s your weekly alcohol intake?

MissingMoominMamma · 25/02/2024 15:17

Sorry- I’m the same and have decided to give up alcohol completely.

Bestyearever2024 · 25/02/2024 15:24

Drink No alcohol

Eat the Mediterranean diet exclusively

Drink 2 litres of water a day

Take a really good broad spectrum multi vit (Lamberts or Cytoplan)

Try to exercise (raise your heart rate for 30 mins) 4 times a week

Take Magnesium glycinate before bed (I take 3 x what it says on the bottle)

Do the above for 3 months and see how you feel then.

MissingMoominMamma · 25/02/2024 15:29

Do not take more magnesium than it says on the bottle. While useful for many things, it can also cause irregular heartbeat and cardiac arrest!

Cvoight · 25/02/2024 15:42

That must be really horrible. Aside from catching so many bugs, how are you feeling in general?

Pavolvaa · 25/02/2024 19:56

I would say I drink 2 large glasses of wine in the week and half a bottle at the weekend, sometimes a couple of mixer cans also.

I have had quite a lot of stress from work and I think I need to get signed off for a couple of weeks.

a lot of people have lack of sleep young kids etc and don’t seem to have so many bugs!!??

Two large glasses is 2/3 of a bottle. Is that every night? It won’t be helping, as nice as it probably feels at the time.

shewolfmum · 25/02/2024 23:30

Sugar (although I have whooping cough) but since giving up sugar I am much healthier....

How you feeling now? I’m still no better! Currently in bed with a stomach bug!! It’s never ending!! X

Hi - I gave up alcohol for a month and felt better. Slid back to it over Easter week so am planning to cut out again from Monday. Overall I think it’s the stress - GP has done checks and seems ok, I think not enough sleep and too much work stress has made me unwell for most of winter. I also did a couple of weeks of no processed food which helped so I am going to try To reduce that also

Thanks for the update. Well done on giving up the booze, even though you’ve gone back to it, it’s still a big achievement.
